APPLICATION TO BECOME A LEADERSHIP ACADEMY FELLOW
The application process for The Leadership Academy is designed to ensure that Fellows will fully participate in the program and benefit from it. Toward that end, the commitment and readiness of the applicant as well as the support of the supervisor are critical. The Advisory Board will assign and secure the commitment of the mentor, but the applicant’s suggestions of possible mentors will facilitate a successful pairing.
Applications are due March 10. Thirty-minute interviews will take place Friday, April 2, and Monday, April 5. Candidates will be notified of selection by April 15. A welcoming brunch will be held Thursday, May 6, from 9:00-10:00 am.
The University of Alabama also offers professional development to members of management through Leadership University, a partnership of The Leadership Academy, the Department of Human Resources and the College of Continuing Studies. Applications for Leadership University are accepted in the early fall. Additional workshops are offered through the Department of Human Resources.
