The mission of The University of Alabama Leadership Academy is to identify, develop, prepare, and advance University faculty and staff for senior leadership positions at The University and other flagship universities. To accomplish this, The Leadership Academy grooms current and potential university leaders to meet the challenges of the 21st century by

During the year Fellows will complete a project directed by a mentor who may be or may not be in the Fellow’s field or reporting line. In addition Fellows will have regular workshops, meetings, and socials to further their knowledge of strategies for UA’s direction, operations, and networks of influence.
Three to five Leadership Academy Fellows who are members of the faculty will also participate in the SEC Academic Leaders Development Program. This program is designed to build the academic leadership pool in SEC universities. See www.secac.uark.edu
